Bible Study & Friday Hangouts

Every Sunday (except the first Sunday) we meet for our Bible Study sessions and on the last Friday of every month we have programs for our Friday Hangouts.

We live in a diverse world where Christian values and beliefs are constantly contradicted. Therefore, it is crucial that youths develop a biblical worldview before they graduate high school and become more independent. Mount Zion Int. Church sees its Youth Ministry as a safe and fun place where middle, high and undergraduate university school students can come and grow in Christian faith and understanding. This will help them be prepared to withstand the storms of peer pressure, doubts, insecurities, life-changing decisions, and tragedies. Our desire for our youth is that each young person has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and becomes an active learner of the Bible in a healthy family of God. We believe each young person will find that the Bible provides answers to the ultimate questions of life.

Youth Vision

By God’s grace, despite the Covid-19 limitations we have seen the fervent growth in the level of independence, spiritual maturity and friendships among of the youths of the church. Under the guidance of the Youth Committee, the youths resolved to be referred as the “MZIP Catalysts”, indicative of their position and responsibility as youths in God’s kingdom, since they are the beginning and the reason for change. As such, our Youth Ministry will provide the youths appropriate experiences that promote biblical growth in their:
• Character through service and evangelism
• Relationship with Christ
• Love and care for each other through fellowship

Scheduled Youth Programs

  • Sundays @ 10:45 am- Youth Bible Study                          Every first Sunday of the month, we join the main service to celebrate God in Thanksgiving.
  • Every third Friday @ 6:30 pm – Friday Youth Hangouts
  • Every Quarter we have our Youth Takeover Sundays
  • Every August- Annual Youth Summer Camp

Aspects of our Youth Ministry

Parents are included.
Parents are given opportunities to join in the fun through teaching and chaperoning. Parents are kept informed on what we’re doing through regular emails.

We are a hands-on ministry.
Our youth are encouraged to be servant leaders as they follow Christ. We try to give them various opportunities to serve within and beyond our church walls. Some examples are: a choir and dance ministry, drama/skits, website and social media development, technical department support, visits to children’s homes, church support projects, buddy and prayer partners, leadership in Annual Youth Summer Camp, and more. We do this mainly on Friday nights, special events, and weekdays in the summer.

The Bible is obviously our ROCK.
None of our youth leaders assume to have all the answers to life, but we confidently trust that the Bible is sufficient for meeting our every need. We study it, discuss it, and use it often. Students are encouraged to bring theirs with them to church. We also know that what happens in Sunday School will affect the future of the church. The future of the church is impacted by the spiritual maturity of its members, and in order to become spiritually mature, there must be sound spiritual nourishment and training.
